City of Albany’s Annual 4th of July Celebration

City of Albany's Annual 4th of July Celebration
Memorial Park - Portland Ave bt Pamona and Carmel
Albany, CA

My wife and I happened upon this event last year and loved it so much we just had to try and be a part of it this year.  Albany is truely one of my favorite small towns in the Bay Area.  It still has all charm and traditional but with an infusion of youthful energy and vitality.  Reminds me of the town I grew up in.  I’m happy as can be that we will be participating in their 4th of July picnic this year.  I stopped by last year to check it out and LOVED it !  You will to.  Come on by and check it out.

Fun for the whole family! We’ll have games, contests, a rock climbing wall, giant obstacle course, bungee jumping, the East Bay Vivarium, human hamster balls, and food provided by local food trucks. Be sure to get your baby training for our annual Diaper Derby and your dog perfecting tricks for the pet show. And don’t forget about the mustache & beard contest – be there, with facial hair!

Arrive early for the annual Albany Lions Club pancake breakfast (8-11am) at the Veterans Building.

*By “green” we mean our goal is to have a zero-waste event, using compostable plates and utensil, and by recycling cans and paper goods, etc.
